Sports desk. Rajasthan Royals have added Chris Morris to their team by bidding Rs 16.25 crore. This was the biggest bid to be auctioned in the history of IPL. Rajasthan Royals director Kumar Sangakkara shared a special plan to connect Chris Morris with the team. According to Sangakkara, his job will be to support Jofra Orcher. Sangakkara said in a virtual conversation, “Maurice was bought for a very high amount when it came to the auction price. Maurice will have a very important role with us to support (Jofra) Archer.
This will give more flexibility in the way we use Archer. ‘ 43-year-old Sri Lankan batsman Sangakkara said, “At the same time whenever Maurice has been fit, his stats have been the best in the IPL and he is also the best in terms of impact on the game. So in this way, they are very important for us, so that we can think about using Orcher in other ways. Sangakkara said, “We also have AJ (Andrew) Tye, Mustafizur (Rehman) and then young Indian fast bowlers to help us get some more combinations that can play and Maurice will be very important in this.”
