While Rishabh Pant and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have returned to the team, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishaan Kishan and Rahul Tewatia, who have consistently done well in the IPL, have also been included in the team. Rahul had made a sensation of his name by hitting five sixes in an over in the IPL 2020 played in the UAE. Meanwhile, former England spin bowler Graeme Swann has congratulated Rahul Teotia in a special manner on being selected for the first time in the Indian team.
While congratulating the Haryana all-rounder on his Twitter, the former England bowler wrote, ‘Many congratulations to Rahul Tewatia for getting a place in the India team. I expect him to play in the T20 series against the England team. The world needs superheroes right now. ‘ Rahul performed brilliantly with both bat and ball in IPL 2020 and won Rajasthan Royals in many important matches. Apart from Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, who scored runs in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League, was also included in the team.
Rishabh Pant’s return to the limited overs team, which has consistently performed well in the T20 series being played against Australia and then England, has returned. Pant scored an unbeaten innings of 89 runs in Brisbane to give India a win against Australia at the Gabba ground for the first time.
