The player withdrew his name just before the auction, the base price was two million

Players are to be auctioned in Chennai for IPL 2021 today. Earlier all the franchisees suffered a major setback. Indeed, England’s star fast bowler Mark Wood has withdrawn his name from the auction. According to media reports, Wood made the decision due to family reasons. Actually, he wants to spend time with his family instead of playing IPL. This year Mark Wood kept his base price at Rs 2 crore.

In this auction, Chennai Super Kings were expected to make a big bid on this former fast bowler. Explain that Mark Wood was part of Chennai Super Kings in 2018. England captain Joe Root has already withdrawn from the IPL.



In this auction of auction, there are 164 Indian and 127 foreign players out of 291 players. Out of these 127 foreign players, Australia has the highest number of players. This time the auction will feature 35 kangaroo players. Apart from this, players from other countries are also included – like New Zealand West Indies, England, America etc.
