New Delhi: IPL Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has suffered another major setback before the start of IPL 2021. RCB player Daniel Symes has been found to be Corona positive. Daniel Sams is the second player to be coronated after RCB opener Devdutt Padikkal. He is kept in isolation after being corona positive.
RCB tweeted from its official Twitter account that Daniel Symes was infected with Corona. Upon arriving at the hotel, he was first examined. During this time his report came negative. This is considered to be a major setback for RCB as the Syms will no longer be able to play the first several matches. Daniel Samms has played four T20 matches for Australia. He has played three IPL matches for Delhi Capital. Samson was released this year by the Delhi capitals after which RCB bought him at auction.
Official statement: Daniel Sams checked into the team hotel in Chennai on April 3rd, with a negative COVID report on arrival. His report from the 2nd test on 7th April came positive. Sams is currently asymptomatic and he is currently in isolation at a designated medical facility. – Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) April 7, 2021
