New Delhi: The team of Indian cricket team made Australia proud by defeating Australia in Gabba on 19 January. It took 32 years and two months, but the young Indian team, who were invincible after an injury, beat Australia by three wickets to win the series 2–1 in the fourth Test. Team India head coach Ravi Shastri said on Sunday that the encouraging words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will strengthen the team.
Shastri wrote on Twitter, “Thank you, Sir. Your kind words will further strengthen #TeamIndia and the nation’s resolve to perform under pressure and in difficult conditions. Jai Hind.”
Earlier, after this historic victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Indian cricket team for the Test series win against Australia, saying that the team’s hard work and teamwork was inspiring. During ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the PM said, “This month, we got good news from the cricket pitch. After the initial hiccups, the Indian team made a great comeback and won the series in Australia. Our team’s hard work and teamwork are inspiring Was. ”
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly also said on Twitter to thank PM Modi, “Thank you and gratitude to the honorable Prime Minister for recognizing the performance of Indian cricket team in Australia.”
