IPL players auction to be held in Chennai, date revealed


The players’ auction for the Indian Premier League will be held on 18 February. This auction will be in Chennai. It has been informed by tweeting from IPL that players will be bid for IPL-14. IPL said in its tweet, “The auction of IPL players will be in Chennai on the 18th. How thrilled are you about the auction of players in IPL this year.

This auction has been kept on 18th because the second test match of the series against England will end in Chennai on 17 February. In Chennai, the Indian team will play the first two Test matches of the 4-Test series against England. The second Test match will be held from February 13 to 17 and the stage will be put up for auction of the IPL on the very next day. Till now, information about the date and place of the IPL has not been revealed. However, it is believed that it may start in mid-April. Final decision can also be taken during the meeting of the venue of IPL 2021.

Let me tell you that the last date to retain the players was 20 January. The trading window (transfer of players from one team to another) will continue till February 4.
