new Delhi: Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell is so upset with the Kovid bio-bubble that he has made up his mind to stay away from cricket for some time. Maxwell has been in the bio-bubble with the team on different tours continuously since August last year, due to which he has now decided to leave cricket and stay with the family.
The ICC had planned a bio-bubble to prevent the spread of corona virus from spreading among players. Actually, bio-bubble is a safe place where players are kept for any tour or series. During this time the players are not allowed to meet any other person to stop the spread of Corona virus and they stay separately in any hotel. During this, regular corona virus tests of all the players are also done. Glenn Maxwell has been cutting his life in bio-bubble continuously for the last five months. Maxwell first went on a tour of England with the Australian team in August 2020, after which he has spent a lot of time in the IPL, home series against India and now in the bio-bubble in BBL as well.
Maxwell says that now he wants to get away from cricket for a few days and spend some time with his family. He said, ‘This is a tough struggle. A lockdown took place in Melbourne in March. After this, bubble in England, then bubble in IPL, 14-day isolation in Australia, then bubble in BBL here too. It has been a long time, and I am now looking forward to spending time with family and may not even think about cricket for a few days. I want to see my family and hug them.
