New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has to play first T20 and then ODI series against England after the four-match Test series. The 5-match T20 series will be played in Ahmedabad. At the same time, both teams will play in the three ODI series in Pune. The players of the Indian team have been asked to reach Ahmedabad before the start of the limited overs series. Many players of the Indian team selected for the T20 series are currently playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Opener Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Rahul Teotia have been asked to reach Ahmedabad by March 1 to join the team. After reaching here, everyone will be quarantined, after which they will be able to practice with the rest of the team.
The DDCA official from PTI said, as far as I know, Shikhar Dhawan along with the rest of the players has been told to reach Ahmedabad by 1 March. The players of the limited overs match have been asked to play two to three matches so that they can achieve the rhythm. After this, they have to go into the bubble following the Kovid protocol according to the new place. The Indian team has to play a five-match T20 series against England from March 12 to March 20. All these matches will be played at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. India’s 19-member squad was announced on Saturday for the T20 series. In this, three new players Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tewatia have been included for the first time.
