New Delhi. In a press conference, Manohar Agnani, Additional Secretary, Union Health Ministry said that a total of 1,14,24,094 people have been deployed in the country till date. In this, 75,40,602 health workers have been vaccinated, out of which the first dose has been given to 64,25,060 beneficiaries, the second dose has been given to 11,15,542 beneficiaries. So far, 38,83,492 front line workers have been vaccinated.
He said that in the four states of Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the first dose of vaccine has been applied to more than 75 percent of frontline workers and health workers. There are 8 states that have applied the first dose of vaccine to more than 75 percent of their health workers. These states are Bihar, Tripura, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Monday, 14,199 new cases have been found in the country during the last 24 hours and 83 people have died. 86.3 percent of new cases have been found in five states, including Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. There has also been an increase in new cases in Jammu and Kashmir. The number of total infected has increased to more than one crore 10 lakh five thousand. Out of these, one crore six lakh 99 thousand patients have been completely cured and 1,56,385 people have also died. The recovery rate of patients is 97.22 and mortality is 1.42 percent.
