Uddhav’s minister Bachchu Kadu slaps contractor for poor food quality


Mumbai: Bachu Kadu, a minister in the Uddhav government of Maharashtra, slapped a contractor supplying food at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Akola over the poor quality of food served to patients. The incident took place on Monday evening when Kadu, the minister in charge of Akola district, conducted a surprise inspection of the hospital.

Actually, a video of this has also gone viral, in which Kadu is allegedly seen slapping the contractor. During the hospital visit, Kadu examined the food being provided to the patients, which included patients suffering from corona, and he was outraged at finding that the quality of the food was poor.

He called the contractor seeking clarification on food quality and other issues and allegedly slapped him when he did not get a satisfactory reply. Kadu, later speaking to the media, said that he has asked the District Sub-Divisional Officer to check the poor quality food and food grains in the hospital and not maintain records related to the food supply.
