Trends lead BJP to 307 seats, Congress ahead 42

New Delhi: In the initial trends of Gujarat local body elections, BJP continues to lead. Counting is going on in 575 seats of 6 municipal corporations including Ahmedabad and Vadodara, the picture is being projected to be clear in a few hours. Initial trends BJP continues to lead. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in 307 seats, the Congress is ahead in 42 seats.

While others are leading in 18 seats. If we talk about the 2015 civic elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had 391 seats in Gujarat, while the Congress was reduced to 174 figures. For your information, let us know that the voting process was completed on these seats on Sunday. According to the State Election Commission, 46.1 percent voters exercised their right to vote.



According to the final figures released by the Commission, Ahmedabad recorded the lowest turnout of 42.5 percent and Jamnagar 53.4 percent. Apart from this, there was 50.7 percent polling in Rajkot, 49.5 percent in Bhavnagar, 47.8 percent in Vadodara and 47.1 percent in Surat. According to the release, out of a total of 1.14 crore registered voters in six cities, 52.83 lakh people voted on Sunday.
