Kolkata: There is little time left for the assembly elections in West Bengal and the political temperature of the state is continuously increasing. Today, two political leaders will be face to face in Bengal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee will be in South 24 Parganas district today. The two leaders will attend political events here at different times.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Bengal tomorrow evening and will attend several programs on Thursday. He will first stop at the Bharat Seva Ashram on Thursday morning, after which he will also flag off the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parikrama Yatra at Namkhana. Shah’s road show is to be here in the late evening. He will have lunch at the house of a Hindu refugee at Namkhana in South 24 Parganas on this tour. After Amit Shah’s last visit to Bengal, the issue related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has once again heated up. The BJP has now come into active mode to give it an edge.
The state’s CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamta Banerjee will also be in the same district on Thursday. He will address the rally in the Diamond Harbor Assembly today. This area belongs to Mamta’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee.
