Kolkata: The assembly election dates in West Bengal are likely to be announced next week. All political parties in the state are busy in campaigning. Meanwhile, big news has come about PM Narendra Modi’s rally in Bengal. In Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made tremendous preparations for PM Modi’s rally. PM Modi’s rally will be held in the first week of March.
It is being told that this rally of PM Modi will be held at the biggest ground of Brigade Parade Ground, Kolkata, in which the target is to raise a crowd of about 15 lakhs. The BJP plans to hold the biggest rally in Bengal politics. West Bengal has 294 assembly seats. At present the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is the government and Mamata Banerjee is the CM.
In the last election, Mamata’s TMC won the most 211 seats, Congress 44, 26 left and BJP only 3 seats. While others had won ten seats. Subsequently, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP surprised everyone by winning 18 seats from Bengal. After which now the saffron party is eyeing the upcoming assembly elections and the party leaders are claiming to overthrow the TMC regime.
