A coal mine accident was reported in Andhra Pradesh. Two miners had gone to the underground mine to join second shift duty around 2 pm and were trapped under the rubble when the wall of the parapit fell over them while fixing proper on the weak part of the roof of the mining cave. Explain that at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday night, the bodies of two miners were extracted from the Kakatiya 6 inline coal mine of Singarani Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Bhupalpally.
It needs to be shared here that the deceased were identified as Katham Narasaiya (51), resident of Gourdipet in Peddapalli mandal in Peddapalli district and Salavani Shankaraiah (53) of Venkataratopeta village in Dandepalli mandal in Mancherial district. However, let us know that in an attempt to rescue the victims, a ten-member squad of SCCL’s rescue team which included manager Tagore Singh and security officer Pandey barged into the mine. After nearly six hours of rescue operations, the bodies were exhumed and transferred to a local hospital for postmortem. Local MLA Gandra Venkataraman Reddy also visited the mine.
