Mathura: A petition to remove the royal mosque Idgah from the premises of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi will be heard today in the Mathura Court. This hearing will be on Thakur Keshav Dev Ji Maharaj Vs. Arrangement Committee. Only 2 of the 4 defendants appeared on the last date. Srikrishna’s birthplace and the royal Idgah management committee appeared in the court in the final hearing held on 22 January.
Today the four defendants will appear in court and present their case. In addition, the court can order the inspection of the disputed site by appointing an accountant of the court on the application of Mahendra Pratap Singh. With this, a decision can also be taken on accepting the case of the Hindu army in this case. On 23 December 2020, the claims of the head of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Andolan Samiti have been filed on behalf of Mahendra Pratap Singh Advocate and others in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division.
The petitioner has claimed to have Lord Keshav Dev as a litigant on Lord Krishna’s birthplace. Sunni Central Waqf Board, Shahi Idgah Mosque, Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Seva Sansthan have been appointed as defendants. The petition demands the court to free 13.37 acres of the land of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and remove the royal Idgah mosque.
