Former UP IPS Amitabh Thakur asks for dinner from DGP, says – Farewell to my right


Amitabh Thakur, a prominent IPS officer of UP, has been retired prematurely. After being given mandatory retirement, the former IPS officer has now demanded Farewell from the DGP of UP. Before this, he has come into the discussion by putting a board of forced retirees outside his residence, now he has written a letter saying that he was also a member of the same IPS service, for which all the officers were traditionally given farewell by the DGP office.

Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur wrote in the letter that ‘I was also a member of the same IPS service whose DGP office has traditionally given this farewell to all officers. As such, it is my right and duty of DGP office to give me such farewell. He has said that in relation to bidding me farewell, no action has been taken so far, while this month is about to pass. Therefore, in the context of the above facts, I am requesting myself that in accordance with this process established in the Uttar Pradesh Police, please be pleased to grant me a traditional farewell as soon as possible through Farewell dinner
