Mumbai. The body of MP Mohan Delkar of Dadra Nagar Haveli in Mumbai has been recovered in suspicious condition. A police officer said that the body of the MP was found in a hotel on Marine Drive in South Mumbai. Police have reached the Hotel Green Sea located on Marine Drive as soon as the incident is reported. Suicide is said to be the cause of Delkar’s death. The body of the MP has been sent for postmortem. The police sealed the hotel room and started investigating the case.
A suicide note has also been found from the scene. Police spokesman Chaitanya S said that the body of the Lok Sabha MP was found in a hotel in Marine Drive Police Station area. A suicide note has been recovered from the scene. ASP Colaba is investigating this matter.
Please tell that 58-year-old Dalkar was a Lok Sabha MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Delkar, who has been an MP for the last seven terms, had reached this constituency for the first time in 1989. Delkar started his political career as a trade union leader. Dalekar, who contested on Congress and BJP tickets, later formed the Bharatiya Navashakti Party. Delkar contested the May 2019 Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate and was elected to the Parliament for the seventh time as an MP. He was a member of the Lok Sabha Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice. At the same time, he was a member of the Advisory Committee of the lower house on the Ministry of Home Affairs.
