Patna: The budget session of Bihar Legislative Assembly is going to start from tomorrow. Starting tomorrow, the session will run till 24 March. On the first day of the session, Governor Fagu Chauhan’s address will be in a concurrent meeting of the two houses of the Bihar Legislature in the expanded Central Hall of the Bihar Legislature. After this, the Bihar Budget 2021-22 will be presented on 22 February. There will be a churn on the vote of thanks on the 23rd.
After the presentation of the budget, detailed information about the budget of each department will be given on different days of the session. Thereafter the demands for grants will be discussed on the demands included in the budget from 1 March to 16 March. The government will answer on the 17th debate. State bills will be arranged from 18 to 23 March. A letter issued by the Bihar Legislative Secretariat states that if for some reason there is a need to extend the term of the session beyond March 24, a program will be organized on different dates for disposal of various works.
This is the second assembly session after the formation of the government. Earlier, after the election was over, a winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly was held from November 23 to 27, with all new legislators being sworn in. The new Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly was also selected during this session.
