Kolkata: West Bengal BJP Yuva Morcha general secretary Pamela Goswami, who was arrested on Friday for possessing 100 grams of cocaine, has now named an associate of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in the case. On Saturday evening, when police reached the court to present Pamela Goswami to a local court, Pamela started shouting at the reporters as she got down from the car. He said Rakesh Singh, an aide of BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, was involved in the drugs case. Pamela alleged that Rakesh Singh had hatched a conspiracy against him. Along with this, Pamela also demanded an investigation from the CID in the case.
Please tell that Kailash Vijayvargiya is also the BJP in-charge of West Bengal, where Vidhan Sabha elections are going to be held soon. Pamela said, “I want a CID investigation. Rakesh Singh of BJP, an aide of Kailash Vijayvargiya, should be arrested. It was his conspiracy.” However, Pamela did not repeat the charge in court. Pamela Goswami was arrested in Kolkata on Friday evening for carrying 100 grams of cocaine. In a dramatic development, Pamela Goswami, general secretary of the Bengal BJP Yuva Morcha, was arrested for possessing cocaine worth a few lakhs under the seat in her purse and car.
Along with Goswami, his friend and colleague in the Yuva Morcha – Prabir Dey – who was in the car – has also been arrested. Goswami is believed to have worked as an air hostess, a model and actress in a TV serial before joining the BJP in 2019. He was later appointed as the general secretary of the Yuva Morcha and the Yuva Morcha supervisor for Hooghly district.
