Abhishek Banerjee said on [CBI notice] will not be afraid of such tactics
New Delhi. After the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) served a notice to the wife on Sunday afternoon, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee said they would not be afraid of such tactics. The CBI had at two o’clock this afternoon served a notice to Abhishek Banerjee’s wife Rujira Banerjee in the coal theft case and asked them to join the inquiry.
It is believed that the political temperature in the electoral state of West Bengal may rise once again. After receiving notice from his wife, MP Abhishek Banerjee tweeted, “At two o’clock this afternoon, CBI has given notice in my wife’s name. We have full faith in the law. However, if they feel that we can be intimidated by such tactics, they are wrong. We are not the ones who can be suppressed. ”Banerjee also shared a picture of the CBI notice with her tweet.
At the same time, Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy said that a CBI team went to Abhishek’s house but did not give any notice. The team went back. The officers said that they would come again. It is known that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will try to scare us before the elections. We are not worried. TMC spokesman Kunal Ghosh said that it is part of a well-composed script. The entire BJP leadership has targeted the Chief Minister and Abhishek Banerjee.
If the CBI is keen on resolving the cases then why does it not arrest BJP leader Mukul Roy in Narada case or Shubhendu Adhikari in Sharda chit fund case. Both are accused. At the same time, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh targeted TMC leaders. He said that the CBI will find out the involvement of TMC leaders in various scams in the investigation. The entire state is aware that the ruling party leaders are involved in the coal scam.
When the five-member CBI team reached Abhishek Banerjee’s house, his wife Rujira was not present there. Abhishek and Rujira were married in 2012 and have two children. PTI sources said that CBI team is likely to question Abhishek Banerjee’s wife Rujira Banerjee at his residence. He said that the CBI had carried out another round of search operation in the case on Friday.
