Social media addiction is not bad for mental health, get rid of loneliness and depression, claims in research

Can your child not live without using Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram or Snapchat? If so, don’t worry too much. In a study conducted on 74,000 teenagers in the UK, social media has not been found to be as deadly in terms of psychological health.

According to rese archers at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, sites like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram or Snapchat do not cause feelings of loneliness and depression. Yes, the child may be a little aware of its image, appearance and way of life, but if parents talk regularly, then there is less scope for inferiority complex.

Social media has also been found effective in reducing complaints of stress, restlessness and aggression among many teenagers. This is the main reason they get a chance to keep in touch with friends.
