Tandoori Naan is the most liked Indian bread. We all like it with our favorite curry. If you are craving for tandoori naan then you can make it at home without tandoor or oven.
This naan prepared on tawa is as delicious as a regular naan.
How to make Tandoori Naan at home?
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour or maida, baking soda, salt, sugar and mix well.
Add oil and yogurt and mix again.
Slowly add water and start kneading a dough.
Make sure the dough is not sticky.
Knead again by applying some oil to the flour.
Before covering the dough, apply a little oil in it. Allow the dough to sit for 3 hours.
Take a ball-shaped dough and begin to roll slowly.
Make sure you do not roll out a very thick naan.
Heat the griddle and sprinkle some water over it.
Place the naan on a hot griddle and once it starts boiling, turn the tava on the flame and cook from a distance of two inches.
Remove from heat and add some ghee or butter, coriander leaves or chopped garlic as per your choice.
Serve with a curry of choice.

1 cup all purpose flour or all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup yogurt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Hot water is necessary
Butter or Ghee as required
In a bowl, pour all the dry ingredients.
Add oil and yogurt. Mix well
Start adding water and knead a dough. Make sure it is not sticky.
Let the dough rest for 3 hours. Take a small ball shaped dough and roll out a naan.
On the hot griddle, sprinkle some water and keep the naan.
When the naan starts boiling, turn the griddle and cook.
Transfer to a plate and spread some ghee or butter.
You can also add coriander leaves or chopped garlic as per taste.
