UP government tightens its grip on corona infection, imposes Section 144


Lucknow: Section 144 has been imposed in Lucknow, the capital of the country’s largest state UP. Section 144 has come into force and will remain in power till May 5. Due to this, more than 5 people will not be able to gather at one place in the city. Nor will more than 5 people be able to participate in campaigning for panchayat elections. Piyush Mordia, Joint Commissioner of Lucknow Law and Order, has issued an order in this regard. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also ordered strict compliance of section 144. This decision has been taken to prevent the spread of corona.

After section 144 in Lucknow, no more than 5 persons will now be able to congregate at one place in the city. If a procession is to be taken out, involving more than 5 persons, permission will have to be taken from the police for this. Apart from this, loudspeakers will also not be able to run from 11 am to 6 am. According to the government order, from 11 am to 6 am no loudspeaker or any device that causes noise pollution will be used at any religious place.

Also, there will be no program that hurts the religious sentiments of the other community. If you want to do any social work, then permission has to be taken for that. But the number of persons attending the ceremony has also been restricted. If a function is in a closed room, only 50% of the people can come there according to the capacity of the room. On the other hand, if the event takes place in an open area or open space, no more than 200 people can gather there.
