So far, the first dose of corona vaccine has been given to 3 lakh 96 thousand 886 health workers in the state. While 95 thousand 435 frontline workers have been given the first dose of corona vaccine under the second phase.
Waiting for directions from the central government for the third phase
Principal Secretary of the Health Department, Supriya Amrit said that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is waiting to issue guidelines regarding the third stage corona vaccination. The center is expected to get directions in this regard in the next 10 days. He said that in the third phase, people above 50 years of age and below 50 years of age will be given vaccines to those suffering from serious diseases.
Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary of the Health Department and Executive Director of the State Health Committee said that the first dose of vaccine has been received under the Corona vaccination campaign, the process of giving them the second dose will be expedited. There is no problem in giving vaccines for first and second doses, so separate campaigns will be conducted. The person to whom the vaccine has been given will be given the vaccine of the same company. He clarified that the person receiving the first vaccine is to be given the second vaccine not on the 28th day, but after that. A second dose of vaccine will be given on Monday and Thursday. At the same time, action will be taken to give the first dose of vaccine on Tuesday and Saturday.
Significantly, on January 16, 18,122 health workers were given the Corona vaccine at 301 vaccination centers in all 38 districts, while on January 18, 14,523 health workers would be given the Corona vaccine.
