Following this order, the food delivery company Swiggy and Zomato stopped taking orders of any kind after 8 pm, complying with government orders. But now BMC has allowed online food delivery even at night.
Apart from this, BMC has also given great relief to the students going to take the exam amid the restrictions. As per the order, students or candidates who have to appear in the examinations can go for the exam in the midst of weekend lockdown. But they must have an examination hall ticket. Students are allowed to accompany their parents or guardians.
No permission to buy food from hotel: It is learned that BMC has also made it clear that it is not allowed to buy food from the hotel during the weekend lockdown, but home delivery is allowed. The order stated that no one is allowed to stand there during lockdown and eat food items, including fruit stalls, from a roadside food stall. It is learned that 10,428 new cases of corona have been reported in Mumbai in the last 24 hours. 23 more patients have died from the infection. After the arrival of new cases, the total number of infected in Mumbai has now increased to 4,82,760, while the number of dead has risen to 11,851.
