SSLC, Higher Secondary Exams Adherence to Strict Kovid-19 Protocol


Thiruvananthapuram: The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary (HSC) Examination for the year 2021 began to strictly follow the Kovid-19 Health Protocol in Kerala on Thursday.

SSLC exams will be conducted from 29 April, while Plus Two exams are to be held from 8 April to 26 April. About 9 lakh students are taking the exam at more than 4,951 centers, out of which 4,46,471 students will appear in the Plus Two exam. And 4,22,226 irregular students and 990 private candidates will be present for SSC exams.

VHSE examinations will start from Friday. On 11 March this year, the Election Commission of India allowed the Kerala government to postpone the 10th and 12th grade school examinations in view of the state assembly elections to be held on 8 April. The state had called for the postponement of the SSLC and the HSC examinations, which were to begin on March 17, as teachers were put on election duty and classrooms were to be used for voting. Authorities have made strict arrangements to implement the Kovid-19 Health Protocol.
