Raipur. Minimum financial assistance of Rs 80 lakhs will be given to the police officers and soldiers who were martyred in the police-Naxalite encounter under police station Tarram of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. With this, one member of the family will get a compassionate appointment. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed the officials to complete the process of financial assistance and compassionate appointment soon. Under the financial assistance, the State Government will provide special ex-gratia grant, collective option special grant, Shaheed Samman Nidhi, group insurance amount and other financial assistance.
In this encounter, the Central Government will provide financial assistance of a total of Rs 45.40 lakh to the martyred police officers and jawans in the form of special ex-gratia grant and collective insurance option special grant amount. Advance action will be taken by the paramilitary in relation to compassionate appointment and other financial assistance to the families of the martyred officers and soldiers of the Central Para-military Forces.
