Karnataka’s Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has resigned after being implicated in a sex depp case. Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and the Bharatiya Janata Party are also facing an uncomfortable situation due to the surfacing of the sex tape. In this tape, the minister can be heard saying to the woman that ‘Yeddyurappa has committed too much corruption’. At the same time, he also praises Congress leader and former CM Siddaramaiah.
According to media reports, Zarakiholi tells the woman in this tape that Congress leader Siddaramaiah was ‘good’. Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has committed too much corruption. Jarkiholi, once a Congress leader, can also be heard saying that Union Minister Prahlad Joshi will become the Chief Minister.
Excerpts from the conversation between the minister and the woman:
Female: Marathi and Kannada fight a lot in Belgaum, right?
Jarkiholi: Marathi are good people. ****** Kannada has no work.
Jarkiholi: Siddaramaiah is good. Yeddyurappa has committed too much corruption.
Female: You always go to Delhi. Will you be the chief minister?
Jarkiholi: Prahlad Joshi will become the Chief Minister.
After the tape of Zarakiholi surfaced, state Congress chief DK Shivakumar surrounded Yeddyurappa and said that he should respond to the allegations of corruption, which have been leveled by Jarakiholi in the video. Sivakumar said, “It’s not just a sex scandal.” The minister says in the video that the chief minister is corrupt. The CM has to answer it. The ball is now in the court court. ”
In the alleged sex tape, Ramesh is seen getting intimate with an unknown woman. These clips were aired in Kannada news channels. Social activist Dinesh Kallahalli on Tuesday lodged a police complaint against Ramesh for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman seeking a job and threatening her and her family to face dire consequences if she discloses anything about it. .
Ramesh, while reacting to the allegations on Tuesday night, told reporters that he was “in shock and the video was 100 percent fake”. He demanded an investigation into the case. Ramesh resigned as minister amid mounting pressure. The BS Yeddyurappa-led BJP government is suffering a lot of embarrassment due to such allegations before the state budget session starting on Thursday. Ramesh, who was earlier in the Congress, was one of the MLAs who played an important role in toppling the Congress-JD (S) coalition government, after which the BJP came to power in the state.
