New Delhi: Amidst the peasant movements, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big deal to the farmers of the state. The Yogi government has fixed the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat, which is going to be procured from April 1. The government has fixed MSP for wheat at Rs 1975 per quintal. In a way, this year, Rs 50 has been increased more than last year’s MSP. Government procurement of wheat in Uttar Pradesh is going to start from April 1.
Speaking on MSP, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has said that farmers should get the benefit of MSP in every situation. Yogi Adityanath further said that ‘Godowns and all procurement centers will be geo-tagged’. CM Yogi has instructed all the officials related to procurement that farmers should not face any kind of problem while selling their wheat. He has been instructed to make additional arrangements for the maintenance of wheat in the state.
CM Yogi further said that ‘All farmers will be given online slip related to purchase of wheat. This time it has also been kept in mind that no work will be given to such agencies whose previous record is poor. Geo tagging will be arranged at all wheat procurement centers and warehouses. ‘
