Weather in many states of North India likely to turn, rain and hail

The weather has once again taken a turn in many states of North India. Now, in the early days of February, there is a change in the weather due to the western disturbance. This year, cold is wreaking havoc in February as well. The northern and central parts are still in the grip of winter while intermittent snowfall continues in the Himalayan regions. On Thursday, many areas of the country received rain. On Friday, rain and hail may fall as lightning strikes. Mercury dropped in Punjab, Haryana: Rain fell at many places in Punjab and Haryana on Thursday. Due to which the temperature dropped. According to officials of the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, received rains. Apart from this, there were rains in Mohali, Ludhiana, Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar.


There is also a possibility of hail in some northern areas of Uttar Pradesh. During the last 24 hours, various mandals of the state have recorded an increase in maximum and minimum temperatures. Lightning and thunderstorms are likely to occur at some places in nine districts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, received its first snowfall of this year on Thursday morning. The Meteorological Department had forecast thunderstorms and thunderstorms in the state for February 4 and issued a yellow alert, forecasting snowfall in the medium and high hills. The Met Office has issued a yellow alert to alert people about bad weather. The Yellow Alert comes under the lowest category of danger in weather warnings and this indicates the possibility of bad weather for a few days.

Air service was disrupted for the second consecutive day on Thursday due to overnight snowfall in most parts of the Kashmir Valley. Officials said aircraft operations have been disrupted due to inclement weather and no aircraft has so far landed at Srinagar airport. He said that due to snowfall and poor visibility at the runway, operations have been affected. He said that snow has now been removed from the airstrip but the operation of the aircraft is being hampered due to poor visibility.
