Lucknow: The words ‘government’ and ‘contract’ will no longer be seen from the board of liquor, beer and hemp shops in Uttar Pradesh. These words have been removed from the board. On Wednesday, the government issued an order and took this action. Officials of Excise Department have informed that this action has been taken to follow the order from above.
The signboard of any liquor store will be written on the native liquor or English liquor shop, beer shop etc. The licenses of liquor, beer and cannabis shops are issued by the state government itself, so till now the government license liquor / beer shop, government hemp contract was written on these shops. But the state government is not getting the word now, so orders have been given to remove them. If someone sells country liquor or government liquor at his liquor store, or government liquor contract, action will be taken against him.
It is being told that according to the new policy issued by the UP government, apart from native and English liquor, the licenses of beer and cannabis retail shops and model shops will be renewed. The license fee of the model shop as well as domestic and English liquor retail outlets has been increased by only 7.5%.
