Actor Om Prakash, who won everyone’s heart by his performance in Bollywood, died on 21 February. He left the world on 21 February 1998 at the age of 80. He died of a heart attack. By the way, Om Prakash was an actor without whom old-time films were considered incomplete. He was shown his strong style in every second-third film. Om Prakash was born on 19 December 1919, in Lahore (now Pakistan), India before partition. Very few people know that his full name was Om Prakash Bakshi.

At that time, Om Prakash’s father was a wealthy farmer who owned several acres of land. Not only this, he also had many big bungalows in areas like Lahore and Jammu. Talking about Om, he only wanted to act. He was a fan of acting since childhood. In early times he used to participate in Ram Leela. Om’s first acting on stage was in Ram Leela, in which his character was ‘Sita’. In the year 1937, he joined All India Radio as an RJ, where he received a salary of Rs 25 per month. His radio show was quite popular in Lahore and Punjab. By the way, Om started his film career in the year 1942.



He did an outstanding job as a supporting actor. For this he was also given many awards. Om Prakash received only 80 rupees for his first film. His first film was Silent, in which he played a very small character.
