Patna: With the expansion of Nitish’s cabinet in Bihar, former Hindustan Awam Morcha (WE) president and former CM Jeetan Ram Manjhi has once again reiterated his old demand. After meeting Chief Minister Nitish at his residence on Monday evening, Manjhi told the media that he wanted another minister and MLC seat of his party in the Bihar government. He wants another party in his party’s cabinet.
When the two leaders were asked about the meeting of the two leaders before the Cabinet expansion, they said that at this time they had come to thank Nitish Kumar who had helped them in their health related matters when Corona was infected. This meeting had no political significance. However, when asked a question about his old demand, he said that it has not been discussed with CM Nitish at this time. But I have been demanding in the past that our party be given another minister and MLC post.
Manjhi said, “I still demand from Nitish Kumar that one more leader of my party be made a minister during the cabinet expansion.” One more must be nominated for the post of MLC. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party, as a constituent of the NDA, contested the assembly elections in 2020. Currently, Manjhi has four MLAs and his son Santosh Manjhi is also a minister in the Nitish government. Even after this, before the Cabinet expansion, Jeetan Ram Manjhi made this demand for his party.
