Swami Om, who appeared on television’s famous reality show Bigg Boss, died today. According to reports, his health was deteriorating for some time. He was also admitted to AIIMS and died today. According to sources, he was a victim of paralysis and it affected half his body. Swami Om appeared in Bigg Boss in 2017.
This season there was a lot of controversy because of him. In this show, he was seen crossing his limits many times. This was the reason he was thrown out of the house. Swami Om was also boycotted by many Hindu organizations after moving to Bigg Boss. Swami Om also contested from the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. He had told that he is contesting against the anti-Hindu behavior of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
On a serious issue like privacy in 2017, on 24 August 2017, the Supreme Court imposed a fine of ten million on Swami Om, popularized by Bigg Boss. Swami Om had said in the petition that when judges are appointed in the High Court and the Supreme Court, why is a recommendation from the CJI? On this, the matter came before the bench of CJI Khehar and Justice DY Chandrachud, the court said that it was a publicity stunt. But Swami Om replied that he had already gained a lot of publicity through ‘Bigg Boss’. In this case, last year, the court asked him to deposit Rs 5 lakh in 8 weeks in lieu of 10 lakh fine.
