New Delhi: Amid the peasant movement, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted raids at around 35 places in Punjab and 10 places in Haryana today. Red raids are being conducted at Food Corporation of India (FCI) warehouses and grain storage facilities. There are raids about the purchase of food grains. It is being told that several teams of CBI are raiding different warehouses in Punjab and Haryana.
Large-scale rice and wheat samples are also reported in warehouses. In this raid, the help of paramilitary forces is also being taken to help prevent any raids. After receiving widespread complaints of irregularities at FCI warehouses, the CBI has conducted a joint surprise investigation as part of dozens of preventive vigilance in Punjab and Haryana. The special thing is that this raid is happening when the farmers are opposing all the three agricultural laws. Most of the agitating farmers are farmers from Punjab and Haryana.
Sources say it is part of the CBI’s Red Vigilance, which is periodically run by the Federal Investigation Agency. With the help of CRPF, more than 20 CBI teams are conducting raids in many cities of Punjab and Haryana. According to reliable sources, authorities have also seized samples of rice and wheat during the check.
