Bhagyashree Patwardhan, who became a superstar in Hindi cinema with her naive acting and her debut film, is a well-known personality till date. He was born on 23 February 1969 in the royal family of Sangli, Maharashtra. Bhagyashree’s father Srimanta Vijay Singh Rao Patwardhan has been the king of Sangli. She is the eldest of three children. Her two sisters are named Madhuvanti and Poornima. Bhagyashree started her career with the television serial Kachhi Dhope. He was given the opportunity to act by Amol Palekar, close to his family.
She worked for Honi Anhoni, Kisse Mian Biw Ke and others. He also gained popularity in 1989 with his debut film Maine Pyar Kiya. Starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree, the film was released under the banner of Rajshree Production. The film also starred Sooraj Barjatya alongside Bhagyashree and Salman in terms of success. However, due to various reasons, Bhagyashree decided to stay away from films and settle down after this film. He is married to Himalaya Dasani.
She retired from acting for some time after her marriage, but later did films like Casey Bokadia’s film Kaad Se Hai Bulbul, Payal etc. with her husband Himalaya in 1992. He also acted in Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi. He then selected films from the 90s. She then returned to television and acted in a few serials. She made a comeback in 2001 with Hello Girls, Janani, Hamko Deewana Kare, Red Alert The War with Winter and others. Although Bhagyashree’s films were not much of a hit, her return was encouraged by the public.
