After the BJP over the panchayat elections in western Uttar Pradesh, now the number of potential candidates in Raload has increased. Party leaders believe that due to the Kisan agitation, all the candidates of Zilla Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat and Gram Panchayats have submitted their claim to potential candidates of the party. Jayal Choudhary, RLD’s national vice president, will review preparations for all the districts of Meerut and Saharanpur divisions through videoconferencing.
Meerut Division has 2196 gram panchayats, 28 thousand 802 panchayat wards, 3567 kshetra panchayats and 144 zilla panchayats after delimitation. At the same time, Saharanpur division has 1612 gram panchayats, wards of 21 thousand 62 panchayats, 2755 kshetra panchayats and 111 zila panchayats. In this way, elections will be held in nine districts of both divisions for 255 wards of Zilla Panchayat, 6322 posts of Kshetra Panchayat, 49 thousand 864 posts of Gram Panchayat members and 3808 posts of village heads.
The BJP announced the district in-charge in view of the three-tier panchayat elections. A round of meetings has started in every district. The applications for potential candidates have started. There are eight to 10 contenders for one seat each in the district panchayat, but on January 28, the situation has changed after Bhakyu national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait got emotional on the Ghazipur border. According to RLD leaders, in a week after the Zilla Panchayat, Kshetra Panchayat, there has been an increase in the number of contenders for the party’s candidates in the Gram Panchayats. About one and a half to two thousand contenders for 255 wards in nine districts of Meerut, Saharanpur division have come forward for the District Panchayat. Now RLD is also going to start a review program at the district level soon. The peasant movement has suddenly taken life in the RLD.
A sudden boom
RLD regional president Chaudhary Yashveer Singh says that there has been a sudden rise in the number of potential candidates for the panchayats in the party. By the way, RLD is truly a party of farmers. This farmer is visible in Mahapanchayat. The farmer is among the people in the villages, not just on the agenda of RLD. This is clearly visible in the panchayat elections. RLD State Spokesperson Sunil Rohata believes that RLD was more active in the villages from the beginning, but in a week, the party’s graph among the farmers of the villages has increased rapidly. National Vice President Jayant Chaudhary is working hard. Going among the farmers, the result is that the potential candidates have suddenly increased.
