New Delhi: With the decline in new cases of corona, many districts of the country are gradually becoming corona free. So far there are 191 districts in which no new case of corona has been reported for seven or more days. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has given this information in the meeting of the cabinet committee of Corona. India has reached the fifth position among the corona vaccine countries in just 11 days.
According to Harshvardhan, there are a total of 146 districts in the country, in which no new cases of corona have been reported for the last seven days. On the other hand, a new case has not been registered in 18 districts in the last 14 days, six districts in 21 days and 21 districts in the last 28 days. About two-thirds of new and active cases of Corona are confined to Kerala and Maharashtra. Vaccination in India is also occurring with a decline in corona cases. According to Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, India is able to provide vaccines to 28.5 million health workers in just 11 days. It has become the fifth country in the world.
Vaccination started in India on 16 January, while in other countries the vaccination has been taking place since the first week of December. The pace of vaccination campaign in India can be gauged from the fact that 10 lakh people have been vaccinated in just six days. Whereas, people took 10 days for the vaccine, 12 days for Spain, 14 days for Israel, 18 days for Britain, 19 days for Italy and 27 days for Germany.
